Andrew Ramsay, one of the young leaders on the Co-operation Ireland Future Leaders Programme, participating in the EU ‘Active Citizens: Social Action for Climate Change’ Programme in partnership with the British Council, delivered a welcoming address at a COP26 reception event organised by the British Embassy Dublin on 26 October.

Andrew spoke about his personal hopes and expectations for the COP26 conference: “I’m excited to see the next significant step being taken to meaningful and necessary reform… I wait with eagerness, hope and anticipation for what is to result from these next weeks, as we have a responsibility to instigate change and with great urgency”
