Co-operation Ireland’s Annual Cork Golf Classic took place at the beautiful Castlemartyr Golf Course on Thursday 1 September 2022.    

Organised by members of Co-operation Ireland’s local Cork Committee including Chairman John Mullins, the Cork Golf Classic is an annual highlight in the charity’s Calendar of Events. 

All funds raised from this event help Co-operation Ireland with its peace-building work at grass roots level, supporting our Cork/Belfast Youth Leadership Projects.

For many years Co-operation Ireland has worked in partnership with youth clubs and schools to bring together young people from Knocknaheeny, Bishopstown, Cobh and Mahon to engage in a programme of leadership and personal development training. 

The programme works to nurture positive role models within the community. 

The event took place in the renowned golf course in Castlemartyr and Co-operation Ireland would like to thank all the teams who participated in the event for their continued support, and congratulate all those who competed, for a great competition, with exceptional high scoring, so well done to all.  

We would like to congratulate our winners, Terry O’Neill from Co-operation Ireland with a successful cross border team including some local talent as well, also winners on the day were teams from Cork County Council and Amarenco coming in second and third.

We would also like to thank Castlemartyr Golf Club for their hospitality on the day.
