Legal Dinner marks Bloomsday
Co-operation Ireland was pleased to welcome Secretary of State for Northern Ireland Brandon Lewis to our annual London Legal Dinner on Thursday evening.
The Legal Dinner is a key event in the Co-operation Ireland fundraising calendar and this year it took place on ‘Bloomsday’ – June 16 being the date on which James Joyce set his epic novel Ulysses.
Minister Lewis spoke to the invited guests, praising the work of the charity.
Recently Tánaiste Leo Varadkar attended a Co-operation Ireland business dinner in Dublin where he spoke of his government’s commitment to engagement.
As political challenges arise the importance of civic society and businesses playing its role in building and deepening relationships between and on our islands increases. Co-operation Ireland is pleased to play its part in creating and developing these linkages.
