Level up your leadership with the Future Leaders Programme

Co-operation Ireland is delighted to announce the second phase of our accredited training programme delivered as part of our Future Leaders Programme, is now open for registration. The training courses being offered are OCN/NOCN Level 2 award: Youth Leadership and ULDA L2 Award Political lobbying & Campaign Communication with the courses commencing the week of the 18th October 2021, courses are limited to 20 spaces.

Training will be delivered on-line but also includes the opportunity to come together for an all-Island youth led conference in February 2022, where young, aspiring leaders (aged 16-27) will have the opportunity to continue to develop your leadership skills, learn from business and political leaders, while connecting with other young people from across the island of Ireland.  Once your accredited training is completed participants will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with others on social action projects which will be showcased at a Future Leaders Showcase event in May 2022.

NEW: Co-operation Ireland Peace Awards
This year we are proud to launch our Co-operation Ireland Peace Awards, to recognise and celebrate the learning and achievements of all participants on their journey with us.  The awards cover three components:

  • Personal Learning
  • Community
  • Relationships Building

Programme participants will have the opportunity to develop new skills and be able to harness these in practical ways through social action projects and outreach projects on a North/South basis, with similar groups in the UK and internationally.

Training opportunities available:

  1. Leadership

OCN/NOCN Level 2 award: Youth Leadership which will run on Monday evenings from 7 to 8.30 pm.

Beginning on Monday the 18th October until the 17th January 2022, the sessions will include not only the OCN training but also opportunities for engagement directly with a range of experienced professionals across business sectors, as well as working together with young people from across the Island on shared tasks.

  1. Communication & Lobbying

ULDA L2 Award Political lobbying & Campaign Communication which will run on Thursday evenings from 7 to 8.30 pm.

Beginning on Thursday the 21st October until the 20th January 2022, the sessions will include not only the OCN training but also opportunities for engagement directly with a range of experienced professionals across business sectors, as well as working together with young people from across the Island on shared tasks.
