Co-operation Ireland signs up to New Common Charter

Mon 15 Mar 2021 by Evan Short

Co-operation Ireland is delighted to become a supporter of the New Common Charter for cooperation within and between these islands – an initiative to empower civic society to drive cross-border, North-South and East-West cooperation across these islands.

The New Common Charter has been in development since 2015 and is an excellent foundation for strengthening the role of civil society on the island of Ireland & between the islands of Ireland and Great Britain. With grassroots organisations at the heart of its creation, the New Common Charter demonstrates the desire, from community groups on these islands, for collaborative and sustainable North-South and East-West relations, and voices the aspirations and needs of civil society.
