Voice Matters Project

Voice Matters Project

What is the Voice Matters Project?

Voice Matters facilitates community dialogue to advance positive change. We are currently looking for a group of young adults who are interested in learning more about civic participation and social issues to take part in this project. Voice Matters will offer you the opportunity to gain new skills and training in a range of areas, including local democracy, events facilitation, social media skills, leadership, mental health and community development, all aimed at building your capacity to create positive change in your community. Through the project you will also get the chance to meet new people with similar interests, take part in fun activities and find out more ways to get involved with things going on in your area.

Voice Matters will take place in September 2021 (exact dates tbc) at St. Columb’s Hall in Derry/Londonderry. To take part in this project you must be aged 18-24 and live in Derry/Londonderry. All costs are covered, so it is completely free to take part.

After completing the tailored training programme, you will have the opportunity to take up paid roles to work with us on the next stage of Voice Matters. This will involve assisting with the facilitation of public events, assisting with the evaluation of the project, and creating content for social media and managing our social channels.

Co-operation Ireland are delivering this project in partnership with St. Columb’s Hall Trust and the Our Generation Project.

Sound good? Sign up here!! Our team will then directly contact you with more information about project, including specific dates, times and venues for activities.
