Voice Matters Project

Voice Matters Project

What is the Voice Matters Project?
Our focus is to raise awareness about the ways people & communities can use their voice in decision making & introduce new ways for you to participate in democracy at the local level.

Mental health is an important issue for us all. We are inviting any interested members of the public to take part in our upcoming online events in January 2022 (exact dates tbc). These events will be an opportunity for citizens of Derry/Londonderry to learn more about how we can improve both individual and collective mental health and to discuss what could potentially be improved within local mental health service provision.

We are delighted to welcome representatives from organisations such as Foyle Search and Rescue, Extern, HURT (Have Your Tomorrows) and the Our Generation Project, to discuss the work currently being undertaken by mental health service providers within the city.

The topics that will be covered at these events will include: crisis intervention; counselling services; detoxification services; a fourth emergency service, and an emotional recovery college.

Co-operation Ireland are delivering this project in partnership with St. Columb’s Hall Trust
