Health and Well-being Project
Blackie River Community Groups and their consortium partners are delivering a project to address underlying community and personal issues around mental health and well-being. The programme will be delivered in two phases of support;
Phase one is aimed at prevention and will raise awareness of available services in the area. It will also recruit and train community volunteers to promote health and well-being.
Phase Two is aimed at intervention and will provide wrap-around/holistic support services.
Community Safety Project
falls Community Council are delivering a project to support individuals and groups to get involved in community safety and to enable local communities to address underlying community issues around the regeneration of underutilised/derelict space. The proejct will involve engagment with local residents to create widespread dialogue on how each site could be regenerated or reclaimed to improve community safety and to delivery local development plans for how the identified spaces could be utilised for the benefit of the local community.
Restorative Practices project
The STARS (Striving Towards a Restorative Society) project is being delivered by Community Restorative Justice Ireland and NI Alternatives in each of the eight CIT areas. It aims to increase the use of restorative methodologies in community settings through a programme of training and mentoring support.
